MONTROSE - There may be only two of them, but the Fox Lane seniors were in top form Friday as they helped their team defeat rival John Jay 25-11, 25-20, 25-20 in the Section 1 Class A final for the second year in a row.
After connecting the whole match, Christina Quaranta and Sarah Marshall were able to get together one last time on match point, as Quaranta, the setter, tipped the ball just over the net off an assist from outside hitter Marshall.

John Jay sweeps Tappan Zee in Class A semis

CROSS RIVER - One obstacle stood between the John Jay girls volleyball team and its chance at a rematch with Fox Lane in the Section 1 Class A final.
Tappan Zee.
The second-seeded Indians hurdled that obstacle swiftly, defeating Tappan Zee 25-14, 25-12, 25-19 in a sectional semifinal Wednesday.
